How Lull works

Get paid for the seconds your AI agent spends thinking.

Every time Claude Code, Cursor or Codex pauses to think, there's a few seconds of dead time. Lull turns that wait into income — one clearly-labeled sponsor line in the spinner, then it's gone. You keep 70%, cash out to UPI in India or USD worldwide, and it never reads a line of your code.

Three steps to getting paid

No new window, no pop-ups, no distraction. Lull lives inside the agent you already use.

STEP 01

Install in one line

Add Lull to your AI coding agent — npx lull init. It hooks into the existing spinner and status bar of Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or VS Code. Open-source, Apache-2.0.

STEP 02

Your agent thinks, a sponsor shows

While the agent works, Lull shows a single line labeled ▸ Sponsored in the spinner. The moment your result is ready, it disappears. One line, during the wait only.

STEP 03

You earn, then cash out

Sponsors pay for that attention. You keep 70% of what your impressions earn, and withdraw your balance to UPI in India or USD worldwide once you pass the threshold.

Is it safe? Yes — by design

Lull is built so it can't see your work. The client is open-source, so you don't have to take our word for it.

It never reads your code

Lull only knows whether your agent is busy or idle. Your code, files and prompts never leave your machine through Lull.

Always clearly labeled

Every sponsor line is marked Sponsored. No disguised content, no fake output — you always know what's an ad.

Open-source & auditable

The client is Apache-2.0. Read every line, fork it, verify it. Nothing hidden, nothing phoning home with your data.

Only during the wait

The line shows while the agent is already making you wait, then vanishes. It never interrupts you mid-flow.

Frequently asked questions

Everything developers ask before joining.

What is Lull?

Lull is an open-source tool that pays developers for the idle seconds their AI coding agent spends thinking. It shows one clearly-labeled sponsor line in the agent's spinner or status bar while you wait, then it disappears. You keep 70% of the revenue and cash out to UPI in India or USD worldwide.

How does Lull pay me for AI coding?

Every time your agent is thinking, Lull displays a single sponsored line. Sponsors pay for those attention-seconds, the pool is split across active developers, and your 70% share accrues to your balance. When you pass the payout threshold you withdraw to UPI in India or USD worldwide.

Does Lull read my code or my prompts?

No. Lull never reads, stores, or transmits your code, files, or prompts. It only knows when your agent is busy versus idle so it can show a sponsor line during the wait. It's open-source under Apache-2.0, so you can audit exactly what it does.

Which AI coding tools does Lull work with?

Lull works with terminal and editor AI coding agents including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and VS Code. It hooks into the agent's existing spinner and status bar, so there's no separate window or pop-up.

How much can I earn with Lull?

Earnings depend on how much your agent runs and current sponsor demand. Heavy agent users — people running long coding sessions — earn the most, since they generate the most thinking time. You always keep 70% of what your impressions earn.

How do payouts work?

Lull is India-first but pays developers worldwide. In India you cash out to UPI; everywhere else you withdraw in USD via Stripe. Your balance builds as your agent works, and you withdraw once you cross the minimum threshold (about ₹400 / $5).

Is Lull open-source?

Yes. The Lull client is open-source under the Apache-2.0 license. Anyone can read the code and confirm it never accesses your code or prompts — it only shows a labeled sponsor line during idle time.

How is Lull different from Kickbacks?

Lull follows the same idea — pay developers for their AI agent's idle time — but pays out via UPI in India and USD worldwide, is open-source so the client is fully auditable, and keeps a single clearly-labeled sponsor line that never touches your code.
